I was never a girl but I lived as one so I had a boyhood I just experienced it while undercover
I can relate to girls sometimes I guess because of similar life experiences but I never quite fit in with groups of all girls so I never really connected with that idea. The idea of being a girl feels disconnected from me.
Some girls grew up to be men. I was a boy who grew up to be a non binary man but everyone insisted I was a girl.
Some people are comfortable with the idea that they used to be this or that. Some people feel like they were never this or that.
I don’t think it’s safe to assume that trans people feel a certain way about their childhood.
I think I was a relatively feminine boy. I grew out of that later. Even when I liked wearing skirts and such I wished I could use the boys bathroom and hang out with the boys.
Some people don’t have a strong opinion one way or the other about their childhood. It’s a confusing part of your life. And gender and your feelings about it can change as you get older.
